Lou was a regular at all the clubs in NYC, in his trademark cowboy hat and loud voice. I think Robin Byrd was connected to him somehow. It was on cable access and had several shows (one was Men on Film?, also a kind of Broadway thing) that were very popular and kind of a big deal in the pre-internet age. Yes, Lou Maletta's loft where had sex parties (you had to pay to get into, it was a business) also doubled as the studios for his Gay Cable News network in the daytime.
